Abstract
The information technology of computer, database and networking is prosperously developing in the world. It upgrades the intelligence, enlarges the view of human beings, and effects the aspects of the politics, economy, culture, education, and society. Currently people have a high desire for the efficiency of the government. For the goal of pushing administration renovation and enhancing service people, every level of the government is fully implementing business computerization.
Nantou County Government currently is implementing the first stage of the computerization project. However there exists some problems that need to be considered. This evaluation mainly discusses the merits or shortcomings of the hardware, software, network, developing process, human resource and future development of the information system. It is based on individual interviews with the computer professionals, executives, users, and the professionals of the computer company.
After the interviews, the records and data were reviewed giving an understanding of the situation of computerization In the conclusion and suggestions, it is suggested establishing integrated information system and connect internet, establish information section and let it be a formal organization, modification of the information system (IS) hardware, modification of the IS network, enhance computer center management, select the computer company carefully, edit complete document, enhance the education and training of the computer knowledge and technology, let all members take part in it positively, cultivate management information system talent, develop decision support system, develop executive information system, establish bulletin board system, and protection from computer viruses.
