Abstract

Credit is the story of 16-year-old Cory McVye’s philosophical dilemma during his junior year in high school: whether to defend or abandon his single mom who has fraudulently charged $56,000 worth of gas, groceries and orthodonture for the needy on Cory’s wealthy employer’s credit card. With the help of his “Existential English” professor, a week spent alone on a vision quest in the park, and a Facebook savvy friend, Cory battles to save the McVye name - believing that “credibility” runs deeper than morality or money. What follows is a synopsis of Parts I and II of this fictional tale and the final section (Part III) in full.
