Abstract

Today there is a disconnect between the wine industry and accounting. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the wine industry as a whole and its future, while showing how accounting is not accurately representing it. Looking at different statistics and using models such as Porter’s Five Forces the conclusion was drawn that the wine industry is very profitable. The wine industry is growing and business has proven to be growing as well, therefore companies will need to adapt for the future.
