Abstract/Description
The Business Strategy Game (BSG) is an online exercise where you manage an athletic footwear company in competition against companies run by other class members. It is our senior capstone project, meant to tie together all the pieces we learned throughout our business courses in our time here at Dominican. The purpose of this project is to put us (the business students) in a position to simulate being the managers of a large-scale company, and ultimately tests the students’ ability to execute a successful strategy. Our company, Better Kicks, is an athletic footwear brand that offers a variety of styles of shoes from athletic performance wear to casual streetwear. We are to go through a series of simulated practice years as business managers, and do our best to bring successful profit and results to our company, Better Kicks. At the end of the semester, we will be prepared to give an oral report about how we as a company performed, what went well, and how we could’ve done better.
