I took this photo in July 2025 on a trip with my spouse to Jeju Island, South Korea. We stopped at the Spirited Garden, which is more than 50 years old and made up of bonsai trees of all different sizes and shapes. The sign at the entrance of the Spirited Garden says, “Here in this Garden, which experts from all around the globe have called one of the most beautiful places in the world, you may take brief respite from the fast-paced world and find another world filled with life in peace.” It is truly a Zen moment from the moment one steps into this garden. The peace and quiet is felt throughout the garden, and I hope more people can travel there to experience it.
