Abstract

The purpose of this dissertation is to investigate the syntax of the simple cases, including their use with prepositions, in Quintus Curtius' History of Alexander, Book VIII, and to note the author’s conformity with or departure from Classical usage. The text used is that of Edmund Hedicke in the Loeb Classical Library Series(1946). Since this study deals only with Book VIII, in citations of the text the book number is omitted and only the section and line numbers appear in their respective order.
