Abstract/Description

Mental health is a collection of an individual’s psychological well being and often times their environment. A survey was given to participants and utilized to see if there is a relationship between social media platforms and mental health. The study analyzes the use of social media's effect on young female college students perception of attitudes and mental well-being. It is hypothesized that social media will influence the type of behaviors that can either positively or negatively impact their mental health. Studies have concluded information about relationships amongst eating disorders and self-esteem, including personal perceptions around body image. This study aims to see if social media content will have an impact on the mental health of young college females.
