Abstract
In the first section of this study, the challenges caused by the deteriorating relationship between the media and the military will be discussed, followed by an examination of the logistical challenges of covering a war. The third section is a case study, focused on Walter Cronkite’s report on the Tet Offensive, which aired on 27 February 1968. The fourth and final section will report on how changes resulting from these challenges manifested themselves in later conflicts, as well as on some possible solutions for how the media and the military can better work together in future conflicts.
