The subject of this study is Yeats’s use of Greek myth in his early poems. By early poems is here meant those poems contained in Crossways (1889), The Rose (1893), The Wind Among the Reeds (1894), In the Seven Woods (1904), The Green Helmet and Other Poems (1910), and Responsibilities (1914) as published in the definitive edition of The Collected Poems of W. B. Yeats (New York: Macmillan Co., 1956)
