Abstract

This study of art therapy occurred with six halfway house residents in the aftermath of a suicide which took place in a residential halfway house for adults recovering from schizophrenia. The residents that were left in the suicide aftermath were able to non—verbally explore their feelings associated with the suicide of a fellow resident. The threatening feelings were substantially dispelled within three art therapy sessions. Selected examples of the art products are presented.
