Abstract/Description
Health status can affect the academic performance of students and higher education in America has played a role in shaping the lives of students with student health centers. Higher awareness of health issues can lead to a lower incidence of diseases and improve health behaviors among college students. In recent years, student attitudes about Dominican University of California’s student health center have not been studied. It is important to understand students’ attitudes and behaviors towards the health center located on campus. Student attitudes and perceptions of the health center have been collected using an online, cross-sectional questionnaire. In-depth interviews where also held with student health center administrators from the Dominican health center and other institutes of higher education who offer similar health services to those at Dominican University of California.
